Paris on my mind… thinking about Paris… loving Paris… because…

It’s the City of Light, it’s the city of artists and writers, it has the most amazing history, it’s the birthplace of so many powerful and amazing ideas, works of art, books, philosophies, music, cinema. It’s a hotbed of creativity. It has the most amazing architecture, the most amazing boulevards, the most amazing buildings, the most amazing bridges, the most amazing neighborhoods. It has the most amazing hidden alleyways and neighborhoods and cafés and people – everywhere, yes everywhere. Paris also has the most amazing people, the most amazing women and men. The people of Paris are just amazing and Paris has the most amazing writers and philosophers. Just think about it, the list is so long and illustrious and wonderful that it takes my breath away. And yes, it’s just amazing! Amazing! Just think about Paris and its history and it boggles the mind. Because Paris quite simply has the most amazing people. And then there’s the language – French – which is the most amazing of languages – so beautiful and melodious and lovely to speak and listen to. And so many wonderful, beautiful people have spoke that lovely language throughout the ages and are still speaking it today. Oh French… yes, the language itself is so beautiful, poetic, melodious, lovely. BEAUTIFUL. So yes, everything about Paris is beautiful and lovely and wonderful and amazing and magical. And this is only a beginning, only the slightest sketch, the slightest mentioning, only the slightest glance at this immortal city – this City of Light… with its amazing energy and its amazing bridges and walkways and sidewalks and cafes and restaurants and bars and brothels and nightclubs and discotheques and theaters and museums and bookstores and bookstalls along the Seine and shops and boutiques and hotels and palaces and impressive buildings and open spaces…. and then there are those wondrous night lights, that dance of light and the fairies and goddesses and gods, all here, all dancing, all loving and blessing each and every one of us and the whole world with the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Place de la Concorde, Les Champs Elysees, the River Seine, the bridges, La Rive Gauche (the Left Bank), Notre Dame, Arc de Triomphe, Sacré-Cœur, Panthéon, the Sorbonne, the Latin Quarter, Montparnasse, Boulevard Saint-Germain, Boulevard Saint-Michel… and oh yes, there’s so much more… so, so much more…. and did I say… I love Paris….

Here’s a fun post about Good Pussy Bad Pussy and Rachel’s many orgasms and writer’s block by my friend Guy Hogan. Guy is the publisher of the hot, online girlie magazine, Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette which features “sex as art and entertainment”. You can check out his site which is dedicated to the glory of women and their wonderful bodies (& much, much more) here: http://pittsburghflashfictiongazette.net/

So here’s what Guy wrote on September 11, 2015:

“Hello, hello, hello, all you readers and writers and rock ‘n’ rollers and lovers of erotica who live all over the world!  Welcome to today’s edition of the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette.  If you are a regular visitor of my little girlie magazine, you know all about Amy Aimee and her protagonist Rachel who is so orgasmic she has orgasm after orgasm even when she finds herself in terrible situations where she shouldn’t have orgasms.  You know, good pussy bad pussy.  The woman has little control over her pussy.  But Amy’s work is about a lot more than just sex.  It’s really about life and relationships and the oh so dangerous world we all live in.  I mean so much of her work comes straight from the headlines of every news outlet, especially book 2.  I’m reading it now.

But I digress…

I feature Amy’s work on the front page of my little girlie magazine.  She has her own category here at The Gazette.  And we email each other several times a week.  We like each other and we support each other.  And recently she’s been supporting me, helping me to survive my writer’s block.

Here is part of the email she sent me today.  I can’t share with you the entire email, because that would be kissing and telling (we do get a little intimate).  Her advice about surviving writer’s block is the best advice I’ve ever heard or read about getting through writer’s block.

Rock on, my brothers and sisters!

*****

Dear Guy,

Thanks for the update. It sounds like you are doing well.

I have a different idea about the experience you call “writer’s block”. I think people (you and everyone else) only experience what you call “writer’s block” because you are trying to force or trying too hard to write. My experience is that inspiration “comes” to me when I am open and waiting (very sexual actually)… It’s kind of like trying to force an orgasm – that never works. But if you’re open and going with the flow – in other words – allowing and being present in the moment… well then wham bam…. there it is! The wonderful inspiration comes and is just there!

You can quote me on this if you want – it might make a lovely post…

*****

Yes, my dear, it does make a lovely post.  And the following interview I did with you several months ago makes for an even better post.

*****

Here is Guy’s interview:

I WRITE EROTICA: AMY AIMEE

Guy Hogan: A. Aimee, let me congratulate you on the publication of Good Pussy Bad Pussy.  I haven’t read an erotic novel in years and I was lucky to read yours.  Tell us a little about yourself.

A Aimee: I wanted to be beautiful and then I realized beauty is in the eye of the beholder and then I wanted to be good and then I realized goodness was in the eye of the beholder. When I realized this I decided to please me instead since I found out that pleasing others is a hopeless task! And writing “Good Pussy Bad Pussy – Rachel’s Tale” was one of the ways in which I pleased myself.

I also wrote “Good Pussy Bad Pussy” because I wanted to explore and write about a woman who allowed herself to go beyond what is normally acceptable for married women and who discovered and experienced amazing orgasmic release in ways which both shocked and surprised her. Plus I wanted to write about a woman who wasn’t so hung up as most women are today with the ownership of a partner. So even if my heroine Rachel is often confused, insecure and conflicted, she is also more free and open then most women are today – and I wanted to see where this would take her. Especially when you think about how limited and locked down in terms of our sexuality most people in couple relationships are today. Which makes it very difficult for us to find the ecstatic, orgasmic release we are all yearning for…

Guy Hogan: Did you start out writing erotica?

A Aimee: I’ve written many books – both fiction and non-fiction.

Guy Hogan: There is a lot of explicit sex in Good Pussy Bad Pussy.  Do your friends and family know that you write XXX-rated fiction?  And if they do, what is their reaction?

A Aimee: It’s really interesting to notice how most people frame the work we’re doing. They call it “erotica” or “porn” or “xxx-rated fiction” and well I didn’t think of any of these things when I was writing “Good Pussy Bad Pussy”. Isn’t that interesting? I didn’t have any of these labels in my head. I just wrote a book about a woman exploring her sexuality, feeling that our sexuality is just a normal part of our lives. So I didn’t put it in a special category. And when you think about it, not only is sex completely normal, sex and our sexuality is probably the strongest human drive of all. So as far as I’m concerned, the real question is – how come we separate sex like we do from the rest of our lives? And why are there so many taboos around something that is so wonderful, joyful, amazing and fun as sex is? As I say in my “Good Pussy Bad Pussy” books (yes I just finished “Good Pussy Bad Pussy book 2”): Nothing satisfies like sex. Nothing completes like sex. Nothing releases like sex. Nothing can compete with sex.

As for my family. My parents are dead and so is my ex-husband, so I figure they don’t have a problem with my book since they left their physical bodies behind when they crossed over to the other side! And without physical bodies, I doubt if sex is an “issue” for them anymore! As for my 3 sons – well one of them designed the cover of the book and the other 2… well that’s their problem!

Guy Hogan: Your novel is about a lot more than just explicit sex.  It’s a great story about a woman on a journey of self discovery.  Tell us a little about Rachel, your protagonist.

A Aimee: Yes my heroine, Rachel, is just as confused and “fucked up” as the rest of us are – maybe the only difference is she actually does the stuff that many of us are just thinking about doing in our heads! So she actually lets herself go and it surprises and shocks her. And not only that, she then gets to experience the many unexpected consequences of her choices and what that leads to…

Guy Hogan: Do you watch porn?  And if you do, what kind of porn do you like to watch?

A Aimee: I’ve never watched what you call “porn”. Don’t even really know what it is. But I love sex. I love thinking about it, reading about it, writing about it, and enjoying it…

Guy Hogan: What advice can you offer to other women who want to break into the field of erotica?

A Aimee: Again I wouldn’t call it specifically erotica. I would just say – be yourself – express yourself freely and if sex is a part of the story you want to tell – well then go for it! We can only change the world by being the change we want to see. So sexual freedom and enjoying our sexuality can only happen one person at a time…

Guy Hogan: Tell us where to purchase Good Pussy Bad Pussy.

A Aimee: You can buy the book on Amazon, both as a printed book and as a Kindle edition. Plus the book is available as on Ebook on many sites.”

Thanks Guy for all your love and support! Amy

Do you know the story of the Chinese farmer whose horse runs away? It goes like this:

When the farmer’s neighbor came to console him the farmer said, ‘Who knows what’s good or bad?’

When his horse returned the next day with a herd of horses following her, the foolish neighbor came to congratulate him on his good fortune.

‘Who knows what’s good or bad?’ said the farmer.

Then, when the farmer’s son broke his leg trying to ride one of the new horses, the foolish neighbor came to console him again.

‘Who knows what’s good or bad?’ said the farmer.

When the army passed through, conscripting men for the war, they passed over the farmer’s son because of his broken leg. When the foolish man came to congratulate the farmer that his son would be spared, again the farmer said, ‘Who knows what’s good or bad?’”

And so on!

And that’s pretty much like my “Good Pussy Bad Pussy” books. Who knows what’s good or bad?

20150617_155622_resized

In the books, the main character, Rachel, runs away from an unhappy marriage and discovers and experiences great sexual release in ways that surprise, delight and shock her – but which are not always socially acceptable. Hence the title of the books – “Good Pussy Bad Pussy – Rachel’s Tale” and “Good Pussy Bad Pussy in Captivity”.

So yes… in these books, I wanted to explore how it would be… not to be bound by our social norms and the traditional programming of men and women in terms of who we are and what we’re allowed to do sexually.

Once I started to consider the matter, I found out that it’s a veritable circus. So the books ask many questions. Questions like – what is Rachel, the heroine of the book, really experiencing? Is it love or abuse? Is it liberation or bondage? Is she really free or not? And who is making these choices for her? How much of all that happens to her in these books is based on social programming and negative social norms about sex? These are some of the questions the books pose through the sexual dilemmas (and sometimes really extreme situations) Rachel faces.

Once I let Rachel loose, she took on a life of her own. So I hope you’ll enjoy her journey as much as I have. In fact, exploring sex and all these dilemmas with Rachel was so fascinating that she just kept on going after the first book ended. So a second Good Pussy Bad Pussy book was born entitled “Good Pussy Bad Pussy in Captivity”. This book was just released by my publisher Bedroom Books.

The Amazon Kindle edition of the first book “Good Pussy Bad Pussy – Rachel’s Tale” has been reduced to just $1.24 for the month of July. Here’s the link: amzn.to/1lvdAcN

My friend Guy Hogan, publisher and editor of the online girlie magazine the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette, always says “The best stories about sex are not about sex at all.” Now what does he mean by that? Well he explains it very nicely in this little piece below where he writes about me and my Good Pussy Bad Pussy books. I hope you enjoy his wise words – and thank you Guy!

“Good Pussy Bad Pussy: Romance and Sexuality by Guy Hogan

Hello hello hello hello hello, fans of girlie magazines who live all over the world!  Welcome to my little girlie magazine, the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette.

How’s everyone doin’?

I was at my workstation so early this morning (around 2:30 a.m.) that I had to take a long nap before posting this my second post for the day.  But that’s a good thing, because when I took my nap I had no idea what else to blog about.  Now I know exactly what to blog about: the work of Amy Aimee.

I discovered Amy Aimee…Well, I discovered her for the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette community.  What I like and admire about her work is the mixture of romance and sexuality she is able to invest her characters with.  It’s an intoxicating mix for an old romantic like myself.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again and again and again.  The best stories about sex are not about sex at all.  The best stories about sex are really about characterization; they are really about relationships no matter how explicit the sex may be.

Spank my bare bottom and call me a nudist.  You know you can’t beat that with a stick!

Amy has her own category here at The Gazette where you will find her fiction and a revealing interview, too.  The category is Good Pussy Bad Pussy.  Check it out.

Amy, the Old Soldier salutes you!

Guy Hogan”

And there I was, feeling it again.

Feeling the Love coursing through my veins… in and through me!

Alive! Moving! Breathing! Alive!

No ownership, no yours or mine, no this or that.

Just free and unlimited, free and unlimited Bliss.

Beyond the cage of words, beyond limitation, beyond good or bad.

Beyond you belong to me and I belong to you.

Beyond good pussy bad pussy… beyond…

A Divine Knowing, a Divine Certainty…

That this is Love… Love! Unconditional Love!

The free flowing of Life.

The free expression of Life.

The free movement of it in and through me.

The bliss of that, the joy of that, the present moment awareness of that…

LOVE!

FREEDOM!

FREE!

Even if only for a little while…”

When a male voice artist contacted me and asked me if he could try his hand – or should I say his voice – on reading my book “Good Pussy Bad Pussy – Rachel’s Tale” – I thought: What – a man reading the innermost, private thoughts of a woman??? Could that work?

Because you see, my book “Good Pussy Bad Pussy” is written in the first person, so the whole story is told by a woman – the heroine, Rachel. As a result, the readers are constantly exposed to Rachel’s innermost thoughts and feelings in all areas of her life, including in and during sex! Because the book is an attempt to follow Rachel in her struggle to find freedom from an unhappy marriage and to find her place in a dangerous world full of men, sex, lovers, and difficult choices. Because as Rachel soon finds out, everything she does has consequences – including some that are most strange and totally unexpected!

So Good Pussy Bad Pussy is a very, very personal book because it’s all inside one woman’s head as reviewer and blogger Renee Giraldy said in her 5 Star review, “I felt like this was too real at times, like I was sneaking a peak at Rachel’s diary.”

So could a man read the start of Rachel’s tale and pull it off in a convincing manner?

I wondered!

But then I thought: Well I’m not a reverse sexist and I am working for more sexual freedom and equality for all – so why not let a man give it a try? Man or woman, we all have thoughts and emotions relating to life, our sexuality, and the situations and dilemmas our sexual drive and impulses get us into!

So I told him yes – you can give it a try! We agreed that he would read the first 10 minutes of the book (the first 5 pages). And you have the result here – which is lovely indeed. Because he used his best pillow talk voice on Good Pussy Bad Pussy!

If you’d like to listen to the result, all you have to do is click here to hear a man reading the first 10 minutes of “Good Pussy Bad Pussy” in his rich, full, sexy voice!

Hope you enjoy hearing his interpretation of “Good Pussy Bad Pussy” as much as I have!

It’s been a mega cool week because my friend Guy Hogan has been featuring Good Pussy Bad Pussy for a whole week on the front page of his sexy Web site The Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette. His site is a wonderful online girl magazine where Guy’s focus is on “sex as art and entertainment”.

Here’s what Guy had to say about me and Good Pussy Bad Pussy: “I would like to re-introduce you to a writer I discovered.  Well, I discovered her for the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette community.  Her name is Amy Aimee and she has her own Category here at The Gazette: Good Pussy Bad Pussy.  There are four posts (this post is number five) in her Category and more will follow and I’ll feature a post from the Good Pussy Bad Pussy Category on the front page on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Amy says she doesn’t write so-called erotica.  She just writes about life.  Let me just say that the life Amy writes about is hot.  You don’t want to miss the Good Pussy Bad Pussy Special… ”

As he says above, besides featuring me on his front page all week, Guy has created a special “Good Pussy Bad Pussy” Category on his site where you can go in and read some of my pieces about… well… about the ups and downs of Good Pussy Bad Pussy herself and all her adventures.

Check out her/my page here: http://pittsburghflashfictiongazette.net/category/the-work-of-a-aimee/

So far there are the following posts up on Guy’s site:
