bad-girl-bloggers-award

I’m thrilled and honored that the lovely and amazing Annie Edmonds nominated me (yes MOI!) for the Bad Girl Blogger award. If you want to check out Annie and her amazing blog called Sex w / Annie – Let’s Talk About Sex! You can find her here: http://sexwannie.wordpress.com/2014/11/26/im-a-bad-girl-but-in-a-good-way/

But back to Annie and her nominating me… This is just way beyond cool – to think that my humble efforts at celebrating our sexuality and sexual freedom are being appreciated by others! Because that has been and still is my goal – for all of us to celebrate and revel in the wonder of our sexuality and to bless and praise it in ourselves and others.

I love that when nominating me, Annie said: “A. Aimee is a modern woman who just gets it. And by “It” I mean Sex! She’s an author who writes openly about women’s issues.”

I’m also so thrilled that my book “Good Pussy Bad Pussy – Rachel’s Tale” is being read and loved by so many. And right now, I’m putting the finishing touches on another Good Pussy Bad Pussy book – the new one is called “Good Pussy Bad Pussy in Captivity” and will be coming soon to a galaxy near you!

Stay tuned and thanks friends for all your love and support! Here’s to sexual freedom for all!!

In my book, “Good Pussy Bad Pussy – Rachel’s Tale”, readers can follow the beautiful and naive Rachel in her dangerous attempt to be free, follow her heart and satisfy her pussy – all at the same time! From Amsterdam to the French Riviera to New York City – from her blond lover Stefan, to the aristocratic Albert, and mad doctor Howard, Rachel tastes the forbidden fruit – and likes it. That is until life takes a very surprising turn! And yet another…

BUT… it’s also really interesting to notice how most people frame this book and the work I am doing. Many are calling the book “erotica” or “erotic fiction” or “xxx-rated fiction” and well the interesting thing is I didn’t think of any of these things when I was writing “Good Pussy Bad Pussy”. I didn’t have any of these labels in my head. I just wrote a book about a woman exploring life and relationships and her sexuality because I find the subject fascinating and because I feel that our sexuality is just a normal part of our lives. So I didn’t put what I was writing into any special category.

“Good Pussy Bad Pussy is a perfect example of sex as art and entertainment!” says Guy Hogan of the Pittsburgh Flash Fiction Gazette. See his interview with me here: http://wp.me/p4l6rJ-aZI

When you think about it, not only is sex completely normal, sex and our sexuality is probably the strongest human drive of all. So as far as I’m concerned, the real question is not whether or not what I write is so-called “erotica” but why we separate sex like we do from the rest of our lives? I just read that Timothy Clark, curator at the British Museum Shunga exhibition, said in an interview about the museum’s latest exhibition of Japanese erotic art: “The division between art and obscene pornography is a Western concept. There was no sense in Japan that sex or sexual pleasure was sinful.”

So I think it’s about time we ask ourselves why there are so many taboos around something that is so natural, wonderful, joyful, amazing, and fun as sex is? What it is about our society and social programming that leads us to believe that there’s something “sinful”, “wrong”, “bad”, or “dirty” when it comes to something so fundamental and wonderful as sex and our sexual drive?

As I say in my “Good Pussy Bad Pussy” books (yes I just finished “Good Pussy Bad Pussy book 2”): Nothing satisfies like sex. Nothing completes like sex. Nothing releases like sex. Nothing can compete with sex.

“I thought it was impossible to find an Erotica book with a strong story and solid characters until I read Good Pussy Bad Pussy,” says January Gray. See her review of the book here: http://bit.ly/1sv90OH

Here’s what Darla Etienne Hogan wrote about “Good Pussy Bad Pussy” on Amazon when he gave the book 5 Stars:

“To start, I have to be honest, I did not to choose to read this book because it looked like something I would enjoy. I came across this book through a brief twitter contact. Putting that aside, what did I think about this piece of fiction? The storyline appears basic at first, a married woman, Rachel, who is bored with her marriage, abandons her husband and son for a blonde hunk, in a search for the indulgence of perfect orgasm. As a man, this story raised an uncomfortable feeling, from early stages in reading the novel. I initially felt this is a book written by a woman for a woman, but hold on. If a story invokes discomfort in its reader, then there is something thought provoking occurring in the mind of a reader.

The story held my attention and at times, I felt very distressed for the main character. This book is uncomfortable to read, but that is its strength, as we all have our flaws in so many different ways. Who is to judge, who is fit to judge who? This is not really an erotic book, though it has its moments, it is more deeply concerned with the conflicts we have balancing our primeval drives against socially acceptable norms. I have taken four weeks to reach a decision, as to whether I should award this work as a four star, or five star rating. It could be fine-tuned a little, promoting it into one of those pieces of work once read, never forgotten, but as it stands, it has provoked my thinking, created uncomfortable thoughts and raised the question, how much of this is fantasy, and how much is fact? I feel very comfortable in awarding it five stars.”

Good Pussy Bad Pussy is brave, wonderfully done, and it hooks me in and grabs my interest right from the start. Recommended! This is intelligent erotica with a woman dealing with the consequences of her choices. The start is fun, fast, and hooked me in. The characters were great, and also the details on the locations were very nicely done. There is some delicious background in here as well, with far-flung places across Europe and the world. This isn’t purely romance as well, this is exploring a woman’s passions and choices, so this is a great story for the erotica genre.  There’s enough craze and kink in Good Pussy Bad Pussy, enough tears and thrill, enough romance and repentance to make the book a perfect gift. Too bad that I can’t give it to my mom, but I’ve decided to give it to my daughters! This book will captivate you intoxicate you and leave you wanting more! Initially I felt no sympathy with the main character but about half way through I was nearly crying. Excellent Turbulent Erotic Story. The name of this book immediately made me say OOOOh I want to read that. I’m always in for a good steamy book. The synopsis sounded amazing too. But as I started reading, I realized this isn’t your typical naughty book. It has dark, tear jerking moments as we follow Rachel through her life. It sucked me in and I just kept reading! A. Aimee wrote Rachel’s Tale — or “Good Pussy Bad Pussy” — to delight our beautiful adult bedtime stories. The main character, Rachel, is the wild mother, tired of the quotidian, burning to escape and to taste the unknown. Dealing with the world proves challenging but worth every bit of it. As the gracious version of Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde, Rachel offers you, the reader, a complete character. The conflict between Good Pussy and Bad Pussy makes Rachel real: the lover longing for a handsome stud fights the mother missing her little son – lover wins on the short run; the wife running away from boredom returns from the inner emptiness of deluxe harlotry – neither one matching her fate. Eventually (spoiler alert)…… There is more than one mother in this archetypal fairy tale of Rachel. It is a story about mothers that I invite you to read. Don’t worry, there’s enough craze and kink in it, enough tears and thrill, enough romance and repentance. “Good Pussy Bad Pussy” makes a perfect gift for Mother’s Day. Too bad that I can’t give it to my mom, but I’ve decided to present it to my daughters. Call it entertaining education if you wish. As a mother, you can yell “no” all the time at your kids. Just keep in mind that it won’t have much of an effect. Giving them a good read is better than a long lecture.

Lisa Lawson writes:

“This book will captivate you intoxicate you and leave you wanting more!

Wow! Once you start reading this story you won’t want to put it down. I was totally captured by the main character’s struggle and fight with herself and her emotions.

I loved the way the writer broke the story down in sections. Made it a little easier to put it down but also it was like I could jump into that scenario so easily, as a kind of someone looking in at the different situations that evolved.

In terms of erotica it had a great level and an equal balance of hot action but the story backed it up perfectly.

Initially I felt no sympathy with the main character but about half way through I was nearly crying.

This is an amazing bedtime read. It will truly captivate you.”

How would it be to be unabashedly lovely and loving? How would it be? To really be that?

How would it be to be unequivocally and amazingly lovely and loving? To just amp it up and pull out all the stops? And be that amazing someone or something you already know you are (but probably never admitted)? And not be half-assed about it either but rather really let it out and fly.

It almost makes you blush just to think about it, doesn’t it? You without all your inhibitions. You without all your insecurities. You without being ground down by everyone’s expectations including your own. Just you – allowing you, allowing yourself, to be in contact with, feel and actually live the glorious life which is you, yours.
